About Jordan

Education/Interest

Dr. Jordan Perry received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 2015. Drawing on his background as an elite athlete, he helps endurance athletes unlock their full potential. He also helps clients recover from shoulder, back, hip, knee, and foot surgeries, running injuries, and postural dysfunction.

Philosophy

Jordan has a unique focus on preventive medicine, which he began to develop while studying Public Health at Brigham Young University. This background shows in his practice—he helps clients not only rehabilitate from injuries, but also decrease the chance of future injury.

Evidence-based treatment is an important part of Jordan’s practice. He intently follows the latest research. This knowledge of exactly what works and what does not helps him provide state-of-the-art treatment and guidance to his clients. He has been involved in studies on unweighted and barefoot running, and uses movement analysis in his own practice to identify current and potential impairments.

Athletics

In addition to his professional interests, Jordan is an elite endurance athlete. Some of his accomplishments include a 2:29 marathon, a 4:16 half-distance triathlon and many wins in prestigious events throughout the world. In 2015, he competed in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships. In 2017 he competed in Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. While growing a family, his competition has shifted towards ultra marathon running. He jokes that perhaps pushing a double stroller over 20 miles has helped him win at the 50k distance.

Jordan also enjoys rock climbing, hiking, snow sports, backpacking, and traveling with his wife and two sons.

Language

Jordan is fluent in Spanish and enjoys working with Spanish-speaking clients in their native language.
